Wexford Local Development is funded by a number of Government agencies and Departments to deliver a range of programmes which address unemployment, educational disadvantage, community development in areas of socio-economic disadvantage, rural development, enterprise development, improve energy efficiency amongst low income households and tackle substance misuse and criminal behaviour. The following are the main funders of our programmes without whom we would not be able to pursue our organisations core purpose:
- Wexford County Council via the Local Community Development Committee (LCDC) is the key organisation in the context of the implementation of the LEADER and SICAP programmes.
- Department of Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural & Gaeltacht Affairs funds the LEADER 2014-2020 Programme.
- Department of Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government funds the Social Inclusion & Community Activation Programme (SICAP) nationally.
- Department of Social Protection funds the Local Employment Service (LES), Back to Work Enterprise Allowance Scheme (BTWEA), the TÚS Programme and Rural Social Scheme (RSS), and the WARM Project.
- Department of Justice Equality and Law Reform – Probation Services funds the Cornmarket Project.
- Health Service Executive (HSE) funds the Cornmarket Project and the Traveller Community Healthcare Programmes (north and south).
- South East Regional Drugs Task Force funds the Cornmarket Project.
- Tusla Child and Family Agency funds the Meitheal Programme.
- SEAI funds the WARM Project.
- City of Dublin Youth Services Board funds the Traveller Development Youth Programme (Taghmon).
