Evaluation & Monitoring

Evaluation & Monitoring

WLD’s Policy, Evaluation and Monitoring Team work across the programmes in the organisation but are predominantly focused on the Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme or SICAP.

Our mission is to work with colleagues to produce high quality evidence that demonstrates the positive difference WLD makes to the lives of individuals and communities across Co. Wexford.

We do this in a number of ways:

  • We manage WLD’s in house Salesforce CRM system which acts as a virtual hub supporting the journeys of individuals and community groups through the organisation.
    • Each individual and group that engages with WLD has a unique virtual case file which means that they can be supported seamlessly across the different programmes that they engage with. Having ‘one door’ for all WLD programmes means that we can provide the best support possible to each person and group, according to their wishes and needs.
    • Our Salesforce system also enables us to monitor both the quantitative (numbers engaged, supports provided) and the qualitative aspects of our work by telling the story of the individuals and communities we work with in terms of the impact that we make together
  • We ensure that the performance data we capture on Salesforce about our work on SICAP is accurately reported to our funders via the IRIS system. Each year we work with dozens of community groups and hundreds of individuals – the Monitoring Team supports the wider SICAP staff to capture and report on this valuable work.
  • We evaluate the impact of our programmes, particularly SICAP, by gathering data and stories from our frontline workers and documenting the learning from our engagement in communities. Each year we produce a case study focusing on examples of best practice which is then shared with our funders to enhance understanding of how SICAP works on the ground.
  • Finally, we seek to shape and influence programme policy, identifying trends and emerging issues and providing recommendations to enable us both to continuously improve what we do and to advocate on behalf of those we work with where issues fall beyond our direct influence as an organisation.
