WorkAbility Programme: Inclusive Pathways to Employment Programme
Supporting people with an intellectual disability in Wexford to gain the skills and experience to move closer to employment. Our five-year programme which commenced on 1st January 2024 and will run until 31st December 2028 is funded through the WorkAbility: Inclusive Pathways to Employment Programme.
What this programme offers:
- Providing progressive pathways into employment (including self-employment) through the provision of one-to-one interventions, tailored educational programmes, training, skills development, creating accessible & supportive learning pathways towards further education/training.
- Sourcing and facilitating work placement and job shadowing opportunities for participants of the programme.
- Providing training and information events for employers to build their capacity, to identify the benefits of having inclusive workplaces.
- Supporting employers to provide work placements and job shadow days.
- Developing and maintaining good relationships with all stakeholders. Organise working groups to identify key learnings from service provision, identify needs of individuals and implement controlled plans and objectives to create inclusive approaches for people with intellectual disabilities to move towards gaining employment.
